Our Story

"Continuing Medical Education 6th Ophthalmology (CME 6)" is an annual scientific event by the Ophthalmology Department Residency Program, Universitas Brawijaya. The purpose of this event is to share the latest updates regarding disease, management, and alternatives in the field of eye health science, from both a biomolecular and clinical practice perspective.

Seeing the success of the previous event "Regional IV Ophthalmology Meeting, in conjunction with Continuing Medical Education 5th (RIVOM)" in 2023 which was held offline for the first time after the COVID-19 pandemic era, we remain committed to providing a platform for eye professionals to improve knowledge and competence, for sustainable eye health services. With the theme "Reveal the Hidden Things in the Eye", we hope to dig deeper into eye disorders that are not visible to the naked eye and are hidden beneath the surface. Resource persons in their fields will discuss this topic, including the Reconstruction-Oculoplasty-Oncology division, glaucoma division, and neuro-ophthalmology division. Apart from that, the event also includes a special skills workshop program for eye doctors.

This event will be held in the highlands of Batu City, East Java, a famous agricultural tourism centre. Participants can enjoy the fresh mountain air while walking around, shop for local organic products, or enjoy culinary delights while enjoying the view from above. We hope that this event will be able to provide valuable knowledge and insight, complete with extraordinary experiences.
